sammy dee + frivolous / dlm studios, toronto / 31/01/09

On Saturday, I experienced the best party of the year thanks to Break and Enter. The event was held in a superb gallery-style two room dance studio space. Local talent, Evolve, started off my night with a set of seamless quality techno. Sammy Dee later gave him mad props for his amazing set. Frivolous delivered a quirky set with live vocals sung into a vintage red telephone receiver. His cheeky yet soulful tech-house tracks are irresistible. Pantytec's Sammy Dee was absolutely superb and worked the crowd into a dancing frenzy with his throbbing bass-y tech-house sounds. His shaking rhythmic party tracks had the crowd dancing until the wee hours of the morning. It was so great to dance all night to quality music. This party was the perfect release from the cold Toronto winter blues.
